Title: Hybríd epitaxy for electronic hybridization in quantum materials

Abstract:

Hybrid epitaxy is a method to grow two or more fundamentally different crystals together with atomic layer precision. It's a method that allows engineering schemes for fabricating both novel hybrid quantum states and electronic devices of high quality and with reproducible characteristica on the quantum scale.

I will give an introduction to hybrid epitaxy of dissimilar materials, including semiconducting, superconducting and magnetic components, discuss the materials properties and potential of forming novel states such as Majorana bound states.
